The City of St. Francis (Population 8,300) is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The City of St. Francis is a rapidly growing community whose residents are predominately supportive of its local law enforcement. The City is seeking individuals who are dedicated and willing to partner with the community to keep St. Francis a safe and enjoyable place to live and visit. Officer’s schedules typically consist of both 10 and 12 hour shifts with every other weekend off. Candidates must meet the minimum selection standards set by the Minnesota POST Board and be licensed or eligible to be licensed by date of offer. Candidates will be invited to participate in an interview process, will be subject to a medical and psychological exam, and must successfully pass a background investigation.

Current salary range is $28.76 - $37.99 and will include a 3% COLA increase in 2023, and 2024. Also included in the current Police Officer Labor Agreement is a $2,000 annual retention bonus in 2023 and 2024. The City provides an excellent benefits package including health, dental, and a 92 hour holiday bank. Initial uniforms and equipment provided with an annual allowance of $700.00 thereafter. Employees have access to an on-site workout facility both on and off duty. Lateral transfers are encouraged and will be evaluated on an individual basis.
