Dog Regulations

If you encounter a dog that leaves its property and acts aggressively towards you or another, please report the incident to the police department.  Provide as many details as possible including the area where the incident occurred, description of the dog and address or description of the residence where the dog came from.  If a dog is contained, please call Anoka County Non-emergency Dispatch at 763-427-1212 and arrangements will be made to have the dog picked up by an animal control officer.

REMINDER:  St Francis City Ordinance 8-3-1 B states that it is unlawful for the owner of any dog to permit such animal to run at large.  The dog must be kept under restraint on a leash not exceeding 6 feet in length or at heel beside a person of suitable age and discretion if off the property of the owner.  A violation of this ordinance is a misdemeanor offense.
