Hwy Construction News
Do you use Hwy 10, Round Lake, Hwy 47 or 169 for your commute? Several improvements headed this way!
Beginning this June, MnDOT will replace signal systems at the interchange of Hwy 10 and Round Lake Blvd. and realign the loop from northbound Round Lake Blvd. to westbound Hwy 10. Other improvements include repairs to the Round Lake Blvd. bridge over Hwy 10, new concrete barrier and sidewalk along with upgrades to meet Americans with Disabilities (ADA) standards. This project will be done in partnership with Anoka County and the city of Coon Rapids.
Motorists can expect lane, ramp and short-term interchange closures throughout the project. Construction is anticipated to be complete in May 2022.

Repair and resurfacing of Highways 47 and 169 will begin this July in the city of Anoka. We’ll work on approximately 2.5 miles of Hwy 169 between the north end of the Mississippi River bridge and Clay St. in Anoka. And Hwy 47 will be resurfaced between Pleasant St. and Bunker Lake Rd. in Anoka. The project also includes new curb and gutter and improved drainage and storm sewers. Sidewalks and approaches will be upgraded to meet Americans with Disability Act standards including Audible Pedestrian Signals (APS) at various pedestrian/bicycle crossings along the highways.
Motorists can expect shoulder and lane closures, ramp closures and traffic shifts on Hwy 47 and Hwy 169. All traffic impacts are tentative and weather dependent. Additional information about upcoming traffic impacts will be posted on the project webpage as details become available. When completed in October 2021, the work will provide a smoother, longer lasting road surface along with enhanced safety and mobility along the corridor with upgraded pedestrian accessibility.
