General Duties:
The Deputy Administrator/Public Works Director is a member of the City's Management Team. This position works collaboratively with the Management Team to ensure policies and initiatives are cross functionally implemented.  This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for all activities that comprise the City's Public Works Department and infrastructure. Work includes, but is not limited to, the planning, budgeting, and oversight of employees in operation and maintenance of the City's infrastructure assets and facilities. Areas of oversight include Streets, Parks, Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Recycling, and Engineering.  The Deputy Administrator/Public Works Director provides leadership that develops, reviews, updates, and implements a strategic vision and plan for the Department employees and infrastructure assets. Work requires considerable independent judgment, discretion, and initiative. The 2022 Salary Range for this position is $89,294 - $111,571.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or related field.  Two years of experience in local government.  Experience in in project management, administrative management, infrastructure, community development, or similar experience desired.   

 
Desirable Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Public Administration or related field.  5 years of progressively responsible experience in local government.
