Police Body Worn Camera Survey
The St. Francis Police Department is preparing to start a Portable Recording System program otherwise known as Body Worn Cameras (BWC). Portable Recording Systems are a tool for collecting and documenting evidence and to have a successful program, law enforcement agencies need to have the support from the community and the officers who wear the cameras. The Minnesota Legislature has provided guidelines for law enforcement agencies who are establishing a Portable Recording System program and how to develop a policy. Public input is one of the important factors in this process.
The St. Francis Police Department has completed a draft policy on Portable Recording Systems and are seeking comment. Please review the St. Francis Police Department’s proposed Portable Recording System policy below and submit your feedback:

2. Participate in the Public Hearing scheduled for October 4th, 2021.
At the St. Francis City Council meeting, the Portable Recording System policy will be up for discussion at a public hearing.
